I have created these:

Our Air

Data Visualization 2014

While living in Beijing I noticed that on hot days the weather seemed to be less polluted. I wondered if this small observation could indicate a bigger pattern. This data visualization will help viewers understand the ebb and flow of air pollution in China. Our temperature data is from Weather Underground and our PM2.5 measurement comes from State Air.

Branding 2011

Lovely is passionate about helping renters find a perfect home without all the hectic processes normally involved. To directly translate their message I started to hand draw the name lovely, connecting all the letters into a smooth and seamless path. I wanted the audience to feel calm and at ease instantly when they see the logo and feel finding a home will be just as calming.

To make Lovely's audience feel the brand is an actually environment in which they can belong, textures of fractions of homes are included as part of the secondary graphics in the branding.

Branding 2012

GRK is a restaurant which was started by two greek men dedicated to bringing authentic and healthy greek food to New York city. They wanted to reintroduce the idea of greek food to the general public. Taking inspiration from their intention, I created a brand inspired by the iconic square spiral shape that appears on old fashioned greek deli cups in New York City. By combining that icon with a modern slab serif typeface, I made the GRK logo simple and straightforward - just like their food.

I graduated from MICA for the business side of art - graphic design in 2010. Then worked for two years at Red Antler in branding and UI/UX design. Branding is super fun! I liked it a lot but felt my work was limited on the screen. To take them off the screen, now I am studying Design and Technology at Parsons The New School. To see what I am working on now, click here to visit the blog.

From 2010 to 2012, I worked as a full time designer at Red Antler, a Brooklyn based Branding & Design agency. Through working both in teams and directly with art directors I gained a huge amount of knowledge and experience in branding and web design.
